What to expect on 2.5 mg
Appetite usually drops within the first week or two. Nausea, when present, tends to arrive in the first few days after each injection and ease by the end of the month. Many people lose 1 to 3 kg in the first four weeks, and some lose nothing yet.

Side effects at 2.5 mg
Rates below come from the UK product information at 15 mg, the dose most studied. Side effects cluster in the week after each step up and usually ease within two to three weeks. Severe stomach pain which does not ease needs urgent care.

How long do I stay on Mounjaro 2.5 mg?
At least 4 weeks. Your prescriber only moves you up when you have tolerated the dose and are ready for the next step. You can stay longer if weight loss is going well.
How much does Mounjaro 2.5 mg cost?

What if I miss a dose of Mounjaro 2.5 mg?
Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days of the missed dose. If more than 4 days have passed, skip the dose and take the next one on the usual day. Leave at least 3 days between two doses. Do not take a double dose.
Can I start on Mounjaro 2.5 mg?
The licensed starting dose is 2.5 mg once weekly for four weeks. Your prescriber must first confirm suitability and explain subsequent dosing. Follow your prescription and the patient leaflet; do not choose a higher starting dose yourself.
When should I move from 2.5 mg to 5 mg?
The usual next step is 5 mg after four weeks on 2.5 mg. Follow your prescription and report side effects or concerns to your prescriber before changing doses. Later increases require individual review and at least four weeks at the current dose.
