Side effects at 5 mg
Rates below come from the UK product information at 15 mg, the dose most studied. Side effects cluster in the week after each step up and usually ease within two to three weeks. Severe stomach pain which does not ease needs urgent care.

How long do I stay on Mounjaro 5 mg?
At least 4 weeks. Your prescriber only moves you up when you have tolerated the dose and are ready for the next step. You can stay longer if weight loss is going well.
How much does Mounjaro 5 mg cost?

What if I miss a dose of Mounjaro 5 mg?
Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 4 days of the missed dose. If more than 4 days have passed, skip the dose and take the next one on the usual day. Leave at least 3 days between two doses. Do not take a double dose.
Can I start on Mounjaro 5 mg?
No. Everyone starts on 2.5 mg. Starting higher raises the chance of severe nausea and vomiting. If you are switching from another provider, your prescriber can continue you on your current dose with proof of supply.
When should I move from 5 mg to 7.5 mg?
Your prescriber decides whether a further increase is needed. Mounjaro’s UK schedule requires at least four weeks at the current dose before another increase. Discuss treatment response and side effects; do not increase the dose simply because another month has passed.
