What to expect on 7.2 mg
The 7.2 mg regimen may use one 7.2 mg single-dose pen, or three consecutive 2.4 mg injections, depending on the prescribed device. A four-week course therefore needs four single-dose 7.2 mg pens or the appropriate supply of 2.4 mg FlexTouch pens. Follow the instructions for the device you receive. What if I miss a dose of Wegovy 7.2 mg?
Take the missed dose as soon as possible within 5 days of the missed dose. If more than 5 days have passed, skip the dose and take the next one on the usual day. Do not take a double dose.
Can I start on Wegovy 7.2 mg?
No. Everyone starts on 0.25 mg. Starting higher raises the chance of severe nausea and vomiting. If you are switching from another provider, your prescriber can continue you on your current dose with proof of supply.
