Is one more effective? #

The results are close. The licensed 25 mg tablet averaged 13.6% loss at 64 weeks in OASIS 4. The 2.4 mg pen averaged 14.9% at 68 weeks in STEP 1. These were separate trials. The plain caveat is adherence: a treatment only works at the rate you take the doses. A tablet you forget three times a week underperforms a pen you never miss, and vice versa.

The pen suits you if

• You think in weeks, not mornings, one task, done.
• Your mornings are chaotic (children, shifts, early trains).
• Needles do not trouble you, or you are willing to find out, most needle-worried patients adapt within two doses.

The tablets suit you if

• Needles are a hard no.
• You travel often or lack fridge access.
• You already run a reliable morning routine the tablet can clip onto.

Switching between them #
